Coloring Book

These pieces made up of oil paintings, drawings and charcoal, were created in the midst of eating disorders, culture shock, heart-break and the all-consuming societal pressure to succeed. They represent the suppressed gender-unspecific “feminine,” “millennial” and ultimately the broken self.  While some of the works were made as an expression during recovery, they also represent the alienated experience with body as a metaphor for the larger issue of today’s society, the lost self.
